Recipe Development October 18 2014
I've been spending a bunch of time this fall at our kitchen and production facility. We will be re-introducing our popular Gormly's Maple Apple Topping in a couple weeks. All our products and recipes have humble beginnings. It takes time and patience to prove and gradually bring a formulation up to scale. Here, I'm working on some informal tests, incorporating different mixtures of our spiced cider into a maple base. These tests are tasted and evaluated by a group of eager volunteers. After many trials and tweaks, a Casually Gourmet product emerges, hopefully to the delight of our customers!
